Road Maintenance

The Bath Township Road Department takes great pride in maintaining safe, sound roadways for our residents. We utilize proactive measures, such as asphalt rejuvenation and fiber reinforced crack sealer, to ensure longer lasing roadways, saving taxpayer dollars.

Under the direction of the Road Superintendent, Gay Jay, the Bath Township Road Department is responsible for the maintenance of 53.845 miles of township dedicated roadways, township owned equipment and non-contracted building services that include the Bath Township Administration Office and Fire Department. There are presently three full time road workers with over 16 years of experience and one administrative assistant for the Township. The Road Department also works closely with the Allen County Engineers Office and Ohio Department of Transportation.

Road Department Services Include:

• Snow and ice removal, salting
• Repair and patch of road
• Maintain storm sewer systems
• Repair and re-placement of township roadway signage
• Maintain trees in right-of way
• Pavement Marking program
• Oversee street and paving and replacement projects
• Mowing and trimming of township roads
• Leaf removal
• Open/Close of burials
• Headstone foundations

Leaf Removal Service

The Bath Township Road Department begins leaf pick up the first week of November and ends the day before Thanksgiving. If you do not live within a Bath Township Subdivision, you may call the Township Office at 419-221-1797 to be placed on a schedule to have bagged leaves picked up ONLY during the Leaf Pick Up Program.  The Road Department will pick up bagged leaves until the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
